Located in East Baton Rouge Parish, the cemetery has been serving the needs of Louisiana residents since 1945. A funeral home constructed on adjacent property to the cemetery in 1994 enables grieving loved ones and friends to benefit from funeral services and a spacious chapel that encourages memorials and quiet reflection.

The grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park straddles over 70 acres of beautifully maintained lawns, graced with elegant and stately oak trees that provide shade, a sense of history, and protection in the park-like atmosphere..

Recently, staff at Greenoaks Memorial Park, in a desire to further meet needs of surrounding communities, opened the Greenoaks Life Celebration Reception Center, offering catering and hosting for up to 200 guests, ideal for large ceremonies, services and memorials.

From the moment guests, visitors and loved ones pass through the huge stone marker at the entrance to the cemetery, they are offered a sense of protection and security within the stately and well-designed landscape of rolling lawns and open areas which bask under gloriously warm Louisiana sunshine. The grounds offer bench estates, providing private as well as exclusive areas for memorialization, as well as fountains, stone benches and boulders that are available for commemoration.

Staff at Greenoaks Memorial Park offers a variety of services, including traditional burials or cremation. Gardens situated throughout the property provide peaceful, beautiful and well taken care of tokens of the loyalty and dignity and care with which groundskeepers and staff provide not only the property, but the deceased as well. Greenoaks Memorial Park is also the final resting place of many local and national notables, including sports figures like Bobby Ray Phills of the National Basketball Associations Charlotte Hornets, major league baseball player Charles "Buddy" Meyer, and musician and comedian William 'Lum' York.

Located due east of downtown Baton Rouge, Greenoaks Memorial Park may be accessed off of State Route 190, with the turnoff onto Florida Boulevard.
