Oakland Memory Lanes cemetery, located in Cook County, is one of the oldest in Illinois, established in 1860. The cemetery grounds have served as a final resting place for Dolton area residents, veterans, dignitaries, founders, politicians and more for over a century. The historic grounds contain a variety of statues, including one called Our Fallen Comrades, erected in 1907 by the Grand Army of the Republic.
