Set among the rolling countryside of southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Memorial Park is situated in the small town of Malvern, approximately 25 miles west of Philadelphia. Established in 1929, it was the first memorial park in the greater Philadelphia area. The cemetery remained privately held until 1992, when the property was acquired by Dignity Memorial, a company specializing in providing funeral, cremation and cemetery services.

Known for its charm and strong sense of community, the Borough of Malvern has a rich history that dates back to the Revolutionary War. The Paoli Battlefield, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Malvern and commemorates the Paoli Massacre, a pivotal Revolutionary War battle. Malvern is also known for being the last stop on the historic original Main Line railroad that ran through Philadelphia.
