For generations, Tippecanoe Memory Gardens has served the community of West Lafayette and surrounding areas with one of the most beautiful and serene cemetery locations in the area. Sprawling over 50 acres of beautiful, lush green lawn, Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, established in the early 1950s, features over 15 gardens with exquisite and beautiful statuary from Christ leading a flock of sheep to bronzed angels spreading their protective wings over the departed as well as grieving family members and loved ones. Bronzed memorials, monuments, and statues scattered throughout the gardens provide a sense of dignity, respect and permanency throughout the well-maintained property. Two mausoleums serve the property, offering traditional in-ground burial services as well as cremation services and niches. Lawn crypts, companion lawn crypts, wall crypts and a number of ground properties in various locations offer families and loved ones a large number of choices when it comes to the interment and memorialization of their loved ones. For those who choose cremation, cremation memorials, boulders, and indoor chapel niches and urns are available. The cemetery property is divided into sections with names such as Garden of the Good Shepherd, Garden of Resurrection, Garden of Eternal Life and Garden of the Cross, just to name a few. The cemetery property is the final resting place of many area notables, including politicians, sports figures, and area and community founders and business people. Located in Tippecanoe County, the cemetery property is open, sprawling, and located on relatively flat ground, offering easy access to all ages. Situated northwest of downtown Lafayette, the cemetery property can be reached by taking Highway U.S. 52 northwest out of town, with a turnoff onto West 350 North Street. In close proximity to the Purdue University Airport, Interstate 65 and area wilderness areas south of Lake Michigan, Tippecanoe Memory Gardens offers visitors easy access, accommodations and things to do in nearby communities. |
